Tereza
Zuntova has hit the headlines
again; although this time it
was for her skill out of
the ring. The Czech kickboxer
has used the skills she learnt
whilst training to be a journalist
to write another article for
the Prague Post; the English-language
newspaper
that's published for the Prague
business community. The piece
explains
the strict
regime that Tereza must face
in order to balance her "normal"
working life with
that of
an Internationally-renowned
sportswoman.
The
Pardubice-born beauty, who took
gold at the World Championships
in Ireland in 2003, also gives
a revealing insight into the
frustration that she suffers
as the Czech team are
consistently overlooked by the
media - despite having one of
the strongest national squads
in the sport. She feels that
they
do
not receive the credit that they
are due, which in turn makes
it difficult for her to find
the corporate sponsorship she
needs - and she thinks that Czech
companies are definitely missing
a trick on this front.
With
her stunning looks, model figure
and powerful
sporting prowess, Zuntova is
a marketing man's dream: the
contrast of softness and strength,
of power, performance and beauty
- and
a World Champion
to boot
- this is a girl that should
have sponsors falling at her
feet - just like her opponents.
